Objectives of the Association:
-
To promote interest in the
LaSalle-Peru Township High School Bands, its music and projects.
-
To provide financial assistance
for the LaSalle-Peru Township High School Bands.
-
To assist in cooperative
planning of the high school band program with those of the local public and
parochial school systems.
-
To assist and support the high
school band program and its director as needed to accomplish the goals of the
department.
Membership in the Association includes all
parents and guardians of student members of the LaSalle-Peru Township High
School. Friends of the program are welcome to be an active part of the
Association however are not able to participate as an active voting member of
the Association.
General Meeting &
Band Awards Banquet
Monday, May 12, 2008
6:00pm in the new cafeteria; LPHS
Join us for an
evening of food, fun & recognition of all band students!
This year's awards banquet will be a 'potluck' dinner held in the new cafeteria
at the high school. We hope that this less-expensive format will be more
convenient for all our families to attend. Here's how it will work:
Provided meal ($3.00 per person):
Fried Chicken
Mashed Potatoes with Gravy
Bread
Tableware provided
(or you can bring your own)
Each family will be
required to bring a dish to pass as assigned
(alphabetically by last name):
A-F: vegetable
G-L: dessert
M-SEK: salad
SH-Z: soda (two 2-liter bottles)
To ensure we have
enough food, we need you to return your Band Awards Banquet Reservation Form
along with your payment to the LP band room office by May 7th. (Checks can be
made payable to "LP Band Parents Association")
We will also need
some help with setting up & serving, so wishing to earn some extra credit hours,
please indicate on the form or call 815-579-2449.
Finally, if anyone
still can not afford the cost of the event, please contact us so we can work
something out. This night is for the students and to recognize their musical
accomplishments of the year. We hope everyone will make every effort to attend!
